The Sharpest Lives

For he comes, the human child
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
From a world more full of weeping than you can understand.
— “The Stolen Child”, W.B. Yeats

Main Characters: Cassia (Cass) Gallagher, Gideon O’Faolain

Cass Gallagher goes to Ireland expecting a vacation. Instead her best friend is attacked and hospitalized, none of the answers the Irish police offer do anything but create more questions, and the only people who might know something tell her to back off and go home.

Cass doesn’t go home. She gets help from the few people she’s met in Ireland and pushes for answers from Gideon O’Faolain, the man who found Aimee after she was attacked. She knows there’s something he’s not telling her—and she’s right.

He isn’t human, and neither are his friends. Cass herself isn’t even the average person she thought she was, but an Impartial, someone charged with binding a living contract with the lethal and seductive Court of the Unseelie Fae—and she only has until Samhain, the last day of October, to do it.

If she doesn’t? The Unseelie are free to wreak havoc in our world.

This book is in rewrites right now. It’s currently on hold as I got burnt out and took up with other projects ’cause I’m fickle like that, but I’m hoping to get back to it early in 2016.
