#AtoZ: V is for Violence

A word of caution: Don’t attempt to write a blog post while watching a movie. Doesn’t work. Now then: *clears throat*

Hello again! Straightforward post today, so let’s get to it, shall we?

Violence is, much as this post, straightforward. The motives and the means may be complex, but the violence itself–that’s simple enough as far as the characters of the IMPARTIALS & IMMORTALS books are concerned. Either you can live with it or you can’t. Or, maybe more accurately, you learn to. Not all of the Impartials start out knowing what they’ll face. One starts out entirely blind with no knowledge of one to expect, and one is immersed in violence from childhood. Several of the Impartials’ army years are marked by violence. This leaves them, by and large, disinclined to it–but, yes, they learn to live with it, or they don’t.

As for the Fae stance on violence…. Do I even need to bother?
